November 3, 2010- Connecticut Innovations (CI), the state's quasi-public authority responsible for technology investing and innovation development, today announced that it has made a follow-on investment of $500,000 in software solutions company XLerant Inc. of Stamford, Conn., through its Eli Whitney Fund. CI's investment is part of a funding round also involving individual investors. July 24, 2009- XLerant, Inc., announced that Cummins Northwest has selected BudgetPak™ to control the budget process, and manage revenue and costs. Cummins Northwest, located in Washington State, is one of Americas’ largest distributors for Cummins Company, whose engines power school buses, medium-duty trucks, pickup trucks (primarily the Dodge Ram), and equipment for mining and construction. Cummins claims just under one-third of the North American market for heavy-duty truck engines. The company also makes power generation products such as its Onan generator sets and Stamford alternators. Other products and brands include Fleetguard (filtration), Kuss (fuel filters), and Holset (turbochargers). Cummins gets more than half of its sales outside the US. [ more ]
