Evaluation Roadmap

We go through a detailed buying process with our customers that has been developed by our customers. These are the steps that current customers told us were the best-practices for evaluating budgeting software. If, at any point, either of us determine that this is not a good fit based on the steps taken so far, we simply part company without any further commitment. At XLerant, we do not want bad fits. We want you to be a reference account for us and that is the most important objective that we have.

  • Budget Intelligence Assessment
    We believe in beginning each engagement with a deep understanding of your needs, current process, beliefs and requirements.
  • Demonstration
    After we understand what you are trying to accomplish then we can provide a demonstration of how our solution can best meet your needs. We can also show you some things that we do that you may not have thought of.
  • Implementation Planning
    In order to better meet your implementation goals, we have you meet the precise people who will be handling your implementation, training, roll-out and on-going support. This way there is no "bait and switch" between the people who show you the product and those that need to implement it.
  • Technical Evaluation
    Many organizations want to involve their IT functions in the evaluation of our services. We offer both cloud-based and on-premises hosting options, and have a complete reference guide for technical specifications. We will go over these options and documents with your IT staff to make sure that we adhere to your standards and that they are comfortable in the support of our solution.
  • Reference Checks
    We will have you talk to your peers. But, we want to provide you with references who are fully implemented, those that are in the middle of their implementation (by the way, that's when you hate your vendor the most, if you hate your vendor) and those who have just made a decision just like you are going though so that you can compare thought processes.
  • Pricing Discussion
    In order to properly and most accurately price our solution and implementation, we need to accomplish the prior steps first to make sure that we do not underestimate what will be required from a pricing and timing perspective.
  • Proposal
    We will provide a full proposal of our plan and pricing for your solution.
  • Contract Process
    If you agree with the proposal, we will link it to legal terms for your contract people. This way the proposal that is delivered by XLerant becomes the business terms of the agreement. There are no surprises.
